Riga City Council officials visit the outpatient clinic of Riga 1st Hospital after renovation

Today the Chairman of Riga City Council Nils Ušakovs, Deputy Chairman Andris Ameriks and Chairperson of the Committee for Social Issues Olga Veidiņa visited the First Building (outpatient clinic) of Riga 1st hospital after renovation. Reconstruction works were carried out by construction and production company LNK Industries.

"The First Building of Riga First Hospital is well known for its illuminated facade which dominates Bruņinieku Street.  LNK Industries has, in the course of a large scale reconstruction project, not only ensured that it now fully meets the requirements of a modern health centre but has also built the lift in a fireproof shaft and, additionally, installed a wheelchair lift thereby ensuring easy access for the disabled.  LNK Industries has also replaced the roof tiles with clay tiles to maintain the historical appearance of the building.  We also decorated the interior, removed the accumulated dust covering from the facade and carried out other works to improve the building and make it modern,” states Artjoms Milovs, Chairman of the Board of LNK Industries Ltd. citing some of the many tasks undertaken during the course of the project.

LNK Industries Ltd. was also responsible for reconstruction of the 17th building of Riga 1st Hospital and introduced serious changes in the indoors structure (premises were redesigned and constructed under the renovation design) and launching several innovations. Since the 17th building accommodates the operating theatres, in the course of reconstruction the company’s specialists installed special airing and lighting systems. The ventilation equipment is fitted with antibacterial filters to secure efficient air cleansing.  The building also features two elevators, its outer walls have been improved by the installation of heat insulation materials and its facade has been cleaned. The building was put into operation in June 2012.

LNK Industries has now started reconstruction of the 23rd building which in addition to renovation works (restoration of the damp-proof course, interior design, cleansing of the facade etc.) includes construction of a new entrance hall and reception.
