Latvijas tilti Jsc. will give Riga City the illumination of the Vansu Bridge to commemorate the company’s 70th anniversary

For its 70th anniversary, Latvijas tilti Jsc. will presents a gift to Riga City - a project called “Light Strings of the Vansu Bridge” which will result in the illumination of the bridge's cables and pylons after dark. Illumination will be secured by 28 new and powerful floodlights to be installed by 17th November.

"Latvijas tilti Jsc. is one of the few Latvian companies whose history may be traced back for 70 years. Since establishment the company has built more than 2,000 bridges, trestle bridges, piers, coast-protection structures and other objects. All the bridges over Daugava River in Riga, which once were among the most sophisticated projects in the region, have always been the special high points of our projects” explains Artjoms Milovs, manager of Latvijas tilti Jsc.

"The company’s historical logo features the Vansu Bridge, which is not only one of the best-known symbols of Riga City, but also a positive testimony to our company’s abilities. As a result, when we were brainstorming over what kind of present to give Riga City to commemorate the company’s 70th anniversary we came up with the project "Light Strings on the Vansu Bridge.” We do hope that the new spectacle of the illuminated view of the bridge after dark will give pleasure to both the people of Latvia and our guests from abroad,” Artjoms Milovs continues.
