Imanta Sports Centre Opening

In the neighbourhood of Imanta, which has a population of about 48 thousand, a project has been implemented so that the residents of the area could have an opportunity to actively do sports and relax in their surroundings. The construction of Imanta Sports Centre was implemented by the general partnership 'LNK INDUSTRIES Partnership' at the request of Riga City Council Property Department.

The new Imanta Sports Centre has a large themed playground – an airport, small playgrounds with separate elements, a skate park, a gymnastics area, two multifunctional courts, two 3x3 basketball courts, a runway with long jump sector, a football field with artificial grass, auditoriums, a park area with new greenery, trees, a stage and picnic tables.

The area has a renovated amphitheatre, as well as ten modular type auxiliary buildings - for guard, nurse's office, toilet facilities, changing rooms and equipment storage.

New engineering networks have been built throughout the area - sewerage, lighting, video surveillance, notification system. A metal fence, 813 meters long, has been mounted, paths of almost 9 thousand square meters have been paved, as well as greenery of more than 20 thousand square meters planted in the territory.

This is already the third project of similar scale in Riga carried out by LNK Industries. The first one was in Purvciems at Riga Secondary School No. 84, the second at Riga Centre Humanitarian Secondary School, and the third now at Riga Imanta Secondary School.
