The Central Sports Quarter in Riga was officially opened
The Central Sports Quarter was opened in Riga, on 116a Krisjana Barona Street (Krišjāņa Barona iela) (former territory of the Latvian University stadium), where the construction of the stadium and the improvement of the territory were carried out by the PS “LNK Industries Partnership”, by the order of the Riga City Council's Property Department.
Representatives of the Riga City Council and the nearby Riga Center Humanitarian High School participated in the official opening event and expressed gratitude to the whole team and companies thanks to which this quarter has been created. During the opening, sports and creative activities took place at each Central Sports Quarter area, and more than 7,000 people attended this event.
The total area of the Central Sports Quarter is four hectares, of which 7,000 m2 is one of the largest playgrounds for children.
On the rest of the territory of the Central Sports Quarter, a football field with a runway of 280 m, a basketball court, two multifunctional areas, beach volleyball courts, a long jump area, a skate park and a bicycle park, a street gymnastics area, grandstands, inventory lease stations, lavatories, changing rooms are set up. A video surveillance and light fixtures are installed throughout the territory. The area is fenced with a restored historic fence. The construction of the stadium and the improvement of the territory after the order of the Riga City Council's Property Department were carried out by the PS “LNK Industries Partnership”. LNK INDUSTRIES Partnership is founded by three companies: SIA “LNK CONSTRUCTION”, SIA “ENFORT” and AS “LNK Industries”.
