In the procurement announced by the Riga City Council Property Department for the final reconstruction works of the Mežaparks Grand Open-Air Stage, Phase B construction phase B2, the right to enter into a procurement contract was awarded to JSC LNK Industries, which submitted the most economically advantageous tender with the lowest price of EUR 18 456 888.88 without value added tax.
Celebrations of the topping out of Ventspils Science and Innovation Center are under way. Traditionally, the topping out is celebrated when the highest peak of the building is reached during construction - the roof load-bearing structure is completed.
The reconstruction of the object envisages the restoration and improvement of the part of the Riga Castle convent building (Castellum) - the exhibition and work premises of the Latvian National Museum of History. The construction works will be performed according to the order of SJSC “Valsts nekustamie īpašumi” (VNĪ) in the amount of 12.43 million euros (excluding VAT), the project is planned to be put into operation in 2024.
In Ventspils, on 31 July 2020 a ceremony was held to wall a time capsule into foundations of the new building of the Science and Innovation Centre of Ventspils, thus symbolising construction of the new building.
